At the turn of this new Millennium I found I wanted to ask some marvellous Finnish composers I know to set Eino Leino's poems to music. Why Leino, of all poets? I'll quote J. Siljo's description of Leino's text:'They ore, above all, sonorous, lyricalcompositions, as if born to be set to adance rhythm.
