Following the success of their acclaimed 2020 collaboration Between the Lines, renowned guitarist and songwriter Danny Widdicombe and celebrated jazz trio Trichotomy are back with Iridescence - a stunning blend of jazz, modern soul and funk - an album that showcases the seamless musical chemistry between Widdicombe and the trio.
Known for his work with The Wilson Pickers and his acclaimed solo releases, Widdicombe's distinctive songwriting and masterful guitar playing merge effortlessly with the bold improvisational energy of Trichotomy - featuring pianist Sean Foran, drummer John Parker, and bassist Samuel Vincent. The trio, whose past releases include Fact Finding Mission and Known-Unknown, are recognized for their innovative approach to the trio format, incorporating elements of post-rock, ambient music, and cinematic textures.
While deeply rooted in jazz, Iridescence also draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists and genres.
