The new album Red Earth and Rain features Eero Hämeenniemi's two major song series celebrating his 60th birthday as the world's premiere recordings. Rain and Red Earth (2008), composed for the low Indian female voice of Bombay Jayashr, and Bird and the Wind (1994), composed for the western soprano voice, interpreted by Laura Leisma. Both works feature the chamber orchestra Avanti with their wonderful playing! Led by John Storgårds.
